Damascus blades are hand forged through a process of layering, and hammering. This results in each blade having a unique design or as some would say a “fingerprint”. Each & every knife is truly one of a kind.
Damascus steel has outstanding properties of strength and hardness. We amplify its properties by oil quenching it at 2100 deg F to cool it down fast and we do it twice to make sure it’s hard to its inner core to withstand any kind of work you may put it to use. It achieves a 58 or higher HRC on the Rockwell Scale.
. Today, we layer & hand forge two different steels 15n20 & 1095. It is then dipped in Ferric Chloride creating a distinct reaction with the metals producing a Damascus like pattern.

This seller does not stand behind their work. I have not even had the chance to use the knife and it is falling apart. All I did was use some knife polish on the blade and the bone in the handle has begun to disintegrate as evidenced in the photo associated with my review. I contacted the seller with the hope that they would be willing to make things right but instead the seller gaslit me (no doubt they will gaslight me in their response to this review, too). I received the knife mid January, but I only had time to clean the knife this week hence the delay in me noticing the disintegration of the handle. The seller is using that delay as excuse to not deal with it. A knife is a tool, a hardworking tool you should be able to trust. The fact that this one is falling apart with mild cleaning prior to any actual use is unacceptable.
